Join John Brantingham, professor emeritus of creative writing for a free, month-long poetry class in the month of April. April is National Poetry Month. This class will be both in-person at the Lakewood Memorial Library and online through video lectures and Zoom-based office hours. Each day you will be given a new prompt. He will help you write poetry and publish it in magazines if you like. His students have published in The New Yorker, McSweeneys, and The Paris Review among other places. The class is completely free to you and you can join in as little or as much as you like. There will be an opportunity to participate in a poetry reading at the Sinclairville Free Library at the end of the month. We will meet on Wednesdays at the library from 10-12pm for feedback and coaching, but you do not need to join these to be a part of the class. To register, email him at johnmbrantingham@gmail.com. In the subject line write, "Poetry Class."
