On Thursday, October 8th at 5 PM, local author Judy Shuler will be sharing from her book The Nazi’s Daughter, a story of unasked questions, secrets, and a lifetime of guilt. Although written as a novella, The Nazi’s Daughter is based on the lived experiences of personal acquaintances.

Judy began her writing career as a newspaper staff writer, and much of her work has been nonfiction. Rather than following one particular theme, her books explore subjects that hold personal meaning for her. Three years ago, she began writing a daily haiku and posting it to a blog as a way to stay accountable. The practice quickly became a lasting part of her writing life, and she continues it today. She is currently working on a follow-up haiku collection, Porch Haiku: Four Seasons Along the Inland Sea.
